Carmen at Masada

2012-06-04 - 2012-06-13

Top Highlights:

After a highly successful 2011 tour, we offer a second chance to experience this ancient region and the magic of Masada.  Starting in Amman, overlook Moses’ Promised Land and the Jordan Valley from Mount Nebo and then explore the rose-colored city of Petra before continuing on to the Dead Sea and the magnificent Rock Fortress of Masada.  Bizet’s Carmen, led by the charismatic Daniel Oren with the Israeli Orchestra and international soloists, promises a spectacular evening.  The music continues with an Israeli Opera soloists’ semi-staged concert performance of La Traviata, a private recital and, in Tel Aviv, the Israel Philharmonic under Maestro Ascher Fisch performing Rossini’s Stabat Mater.  Includes full sightseeing at Masada, Qumran and Jerusalem with visits to Yad Vashem and the exceptional Israel museum (Dead Sea Scrolls).
