Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov (Metropolitan Opera - 7:00 PM). New Production. The cast: Ekaterina Semenchuk, Aleksandrs Antonenko, Oleg Balashov, Evgeny Nikitin, René Pape. Pavel Smelkov conducts. Production by Stephen Wadsworth, sets by Ferdinand Wögerbauer, costumes by Moidele Bickel, lighting by Duane Schuler, choreography by Apostolia Tsolaki.

Friday, March 18
Morning at leisure.

Lunch at the world-famous Le Cirque. Jacket and tie required. Afternoon at leisure.

Tchaikovsky’s The Queen of Spades (Metropolitan Opera - 8:00 PM). The cast: Karita Mattila, Tamara Mumford, Dolora Zajick, Vladimir Galouzine, Alexey Markov, Peter Mattei. Andris Nelsons conducts. Production by Elijah Moshinsky, sets and costumes by Mark Thompson, lighting by Paul Pyant, choreography by John Meehan.

Saturday, March 19
Morning at leisure.

Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor (Metropolitan Opera - 1:00 PM). The cast: Natalie Dessay, Joseph Calleja, Ludovic Tézier, Kwangchul Youn. Patrick Summers conducts. Production by Mary Zimmerman, sets by Daniel Ostling, costumes by Mara Blumenfeld, lighting by T.J. Gerckens, choreography by Daniel Pelzig.

Dinner this evening under the glittering Austrian chandeliers at the Grand Tier in the Metropolitan Opera House.

Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette (Metropolitan Opera - 8:30 PM). The cast: Angela Gheorghiu, Julie Boulianne, Piotr Beczala, Lucas Meachem, James Morris. Plácido Domingo conducts. Production by Guy Joosten, sets by Johannes Leiacker, costumes by Jorge Jara, lighting by David Cunningham, choreography by Sean Curran.
