Creative Aging Choir
Explore the joy of singing with the Metropolitan Opera Guild!
This program is a non-audition choir for singers of all
backgrounds and experiences who are 55+.
The
8-week program will take place from 3:00pm – 4:30pm on Wednesdays, April
6 - May 25, 2022. The choir will
rehearse at the Guild’s Opera Learning Center, located in Samuel B and David
Rose Building (165 W. 65th Street) and present a culminating event in the Kaplan Penthouse, located on the 10th floor of the same building. Participants must make a
commitment to attend all sessions and the culminating event.
Participants will gather weekly to learn to sing together and explore repertoire from the operatic canon as well as selections in different languages and time periods. Participants do not need to know how to read music. The program will be co-led by Composer and Choral Conductor, Lisa Holsberg and Soprano and Guild Teaching Artist, Gina Hanzlik.
Registration for the Creative Aging Choir is now closed, however we invite you to join us for our culminating event on Wednesday, May 25th at 5:00pm in the Kaplan Penthouse. Tickets are $10 each.
